Friends of Moreton Hall

An Introduction

The ‘Friends’ are essentially a PTA that we are fortunate to have as an active and integral part of our school community.  In its time the Friends have raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment, buildings, and resources all to enhance our children’s education.

But the Friends are much more than just a fundraising entity, we aim to provide closer links between home and school by bringing staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.

Role of the Committee

Our committee currently consists of parents and members of the School staff, the Head teacher, an elected Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. Meetings are on a regular basis, usually once per half term, with smaller sub-groups meeting informally to organise key events.

Popular Events

May Balls, Fireworks Night, Christmas Fairs, Fashion Shows, Quiz Nights, Children’s Discos, Cake Sales, Volunteer Days, Wine Tastings and Headmaster’s welcome drinks.

How You Can Get Involved

Offering to help before events is so valuable; it really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school, there are always little jobs that can be done from home e.g. baking cakes, selling tickets, wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc. We really couldn’t achieve what we do without the unseen ‘army of help’ that exists in school.  If you are interested in getting more involved, we would love to hear from you so please get in touch.
