The benefits of a healthy meal for children’s development are well documented and at Moreton Hall our menus are carefully planned to offer a well-balanced diet through a wide variety of different foods.
Breakfast, Lunch and Supper are all served in the dining room where the children eat together in a formal environment. Our meals are prepared on the premises by a dedicated team of chefs using fresh, locally sourced and environmentally sustainable food wherever possible. Fresh fruit is available with every meal.
At morning and afternoon break the children are given a snack of a cake, home-made tray bake or biscuit with water, milk or squash. Hot chocolate is also available on chilly days.
Drinking water is available throughout the day, either from the water fountain or in the classrooms for the younger children.
Drinking water is also available throughout the day for boarders as well as hot drinks at bedtime should they wish. Tuck is allowed three times a week for boarders only.
Special diets can be catered for on medical grounds only. Parents of children who suffer from a food allergy or intolerance are asked to include this information on the medical form included in their admissions pack. The Catering Manager and Matron are happy to meet with parents to discuss any special dietary requirements where practicable.
