The House Music Festival is always a delightful event and this year was no exception. The Junior competition was adjudicated by Janet Welsh, Head of Strings from Culford School.  The programme featured a broad range of musical talent with Wind, Piano, Vocal and Strings all being represented. She was full of praise for all the performances and chose Matthew (V) as the winner for his ‘outstanding performance’ of ‘The River flows in you’ on the piano and Isabel (V) as the runner up for her vocal solo ‘Journey to the Past’.

The Senior competition was adjudicated by Mr Max Kenworthy, Director of Music at The Leys School.  As well as giving some top tips for all our musicians he was full of praise for all the performances and chose Linda (VII) as the winner for her string solo ‘Theme from Ladies in Lavender’ which he said was a ‘very impressive’ performance and was incredibly impressed by her control on the tricky last note! Runner up went to Grace (VIII) for her vocal solo ‘Wishing you were somehow here again’ which he described as ‘Brilliant, confident and clear’.

The House Music Cup was won by Felix for the third year in a row!
