U13A hockey v Old Buckenham Hall

We arrived knowing that they were a tough side to beat and in the first half both sides were very even and the ball rolled back and forth a lot. We then gained possession of the ball and surged forward allowing Hermanie to score our first goal. This lead to OBH losing their confidence and we were able to have many more shots at goal but unfortunately their goalkeeper saved them all. Thanks to some awesome running in attack by Tilly, the ball managed to travel up to Hermanie and she rifled it into the back of the net. The whistle then blew for halftime and Mrs K gave us an inspirational team talk telling us we had to find the corners of the goal as their goalie was very agile. We took this on board and after some amazing tackles in defence from Pippa and Maria and some very good goalkeeping from Ciara, the ball was passed  up to Grace who crossed it into Hermanie who once again placed the ball into the back of the net making the final score 3-0 to Moreton Hall.

Girl of the game goes to Hermanie for her amazing 3 goals. Special mention goes to the whole team for their outstanding play against such a tough opposition. Thank you Mrs K for coaching and driving and OBH for hosting.

Francesca, Captain of Hockey

U13B hockey v Old Buckenham Hall & Orwell Park

We played two matches, the first was against OBH.  Our defence was strong but we found it difficult to score.  The OBH team did well to score a goal against Izzy but time ran out for us and we couldn’t score against them before the final whistle was blown. The final score was 1-0 to OBH.  OBH chose Matilda as player of the match.

We were determined to play better in our second match against Orwell Park. Olivia, Grace and Matilda scored three great goals and Grace was named player of the month.  Final score was 3-0 to us.  Everybody tried really hard and played some good hockey, well done to the whole team.

Thank you Steph for coaching us and thank you Mrs. K. for driving and OBH for the match tea.

U11 hockey v Old Buckenham Hall

We lost the toss and they chose first center pass. Sadly they quickly scored. They came running down the right wing and scored again. It was pouring with rain and the astro was almost flooded. Jemima had some great attacks. She slipped and slid half the pitch. Abi attacked and scored. We had a minute and they scored again. The final scored was 3-1. Thank you to matron for match tea, Mrs Bushell for coaching and OBH for a good match despite the weather.
